_{so i have noticed that there has been some misconceptions/assumptions about what exactly neena’s power entails. the following information is based upon my own research & some canon. i would appreciate if other domino rp blogs didn’t steal this explanation or use it as their own definition of her ability. i worked hard curating this specific to my interpretation and will not take kindly to others using it.}

isn’t she just lucky?   no. her ability isn’t actually being lucky, but she will often refer to it as that to simplify things and avoid confusion. technically, her ability is probability manipulation. meaning that she has better odds than the average human. if she has a gun pointed to her head, the chances of her getting a bullet through the brain are slim to none. the chamber might clog, the other person might have a sudden heart attack or a rock will fall out of the sky. but she is never left unscathed. sure, she can jump from a plane without a parachute and survive. but she will hit every branch and stick and bird on the way down, she’dd survive but at the cost of many, many broken bones. as she has stated before her power can be a real dick when it wants to be. 

can she control it?   not in the slightest. sometimes it works wonders and she can walk through a battlefield without so much as a speck of dirt on her cheek, other times she can be jogging around the block and trip over nothing and break a wrist. more often or not, though, her powers are in her favour. it usually reacts the most when someone else puts her in a dangerous situation, or if it’s actually going towards a good cause. if someone is a sniper on a hill with a gun pointed at her head, something will happen to the sniper (whether it be a mountain lion or bee, that wasn’t up to her). HOWEVER if she is an idiot (which she can be) and puts herself in a dangerous situation for no good reason, her powers won’t work.                                                                   lucky not invincible. 

how does this effect every day scenarios?    it’s completely random. again, she has no control over her powers. sometimes she’ll find a benjamin franklin on the ground when they’re behind on rent, other times she’s just like any other ordinary human and has to deal with all of those struggles.

god, this is honestly just a reminder that neena is??? incredibly talented??? during her time after the cult, she literally traveled the world for the better part of 8 years learning different fighting styles from all stretches of the earth as well as being an incredible marksman??? i feel like her talent is often overlooked bc of her “luck”, but she truly is fucking incredible.

                                HEADCANON

_{▐  ✧ LEARNING DIFFICULTIES.    Neena has never been to what would be considered a “normal” school. Her early life (roughly 0-3) was spent being locked away in a cell & tested on to see if she had become the ultimate weapon. Project Armageddon was the name of the illegal organisation where the created humans and genetically altered them to try and make super soldiers. However, Neena was deemed a failure and was set to be destroyed, but her mother (the surrogate who carried her during the birthing stage) kidnapped her and handed her over to Father Rudolpho Boschelli.}  

_{Boschelli, unfortunately, was the leader of cult which Neena was trapped in until the age of 13. During this time, she was deprived of a formal education during this period as the cult only taught things based on religion… which she ignored, anyways. After she escaped the cult, she was on the run for years. With once again, no formal education.} 

_{As a result of this, Neena struggles with telling the time on an analog clock, numbers & writing. All of the clocks in her apartment are digital & she rarely texts. She learnt to read from her ex-husband, Milo Thurman, but i won’t get into that during this headcanon.}
