here is a list no one asked for of some shit about neena and she has had to do in life.
- she literally took over mercs for money bc wade was terrible at it.so she is out here with her own merc group running around being their leader.
- she was in a cult until she was a young teenager and escaped herself. and hence, was homeless and on the run for literal years, learning how to fight, stealing whatever food she could so she didn’t die, praying her power was gonna let her break into those abandoned apartments.
- she was p much second in command to cable in the cable & x-force series. i think this is super important and wonderful that their dynamic has gotten to the stage of having that much trust and it makes me very emotional.
- she could still kick your ass without her ability. despite it playing a massive part in many, many scenarios, she doesn’t need it to survive. she’s so well vexed in combat and an array of weapons that she’d soon learn to adapt to living without it. it may take a long time as her luck truly is part of her, but she doesn’t need it. and she needs to learn to stop relying on it.
- she had to kill her husband. Dr Milo Thurman was Neena’s husband, and the only person who she has truly felt romantic love for. after a mass attack, some serious confusion and Milo being turned into a goddamn humanised computer, she eventually had to kill him out of mercy. it was a massive lesson about her powers & that sometimes, luck just isn’t enough.
